<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating arsenic-containing water capable of efficiently eliminating the arsenic from arsenic-containing water by a simple reaction and in smaller number of processes, and reducing slime generating amount. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating arsenic-containing water includes adding ironII polysulphate to the arsenic-containing water in an addition amount of 8 g/L or less, then adding an alkali thereto to set a pH to 9 or more, adding an oxidant to the arsenic-containing water while keeping the state of pH 9 or more, and performing solid-liquid separation. The preferable embodiments are such that the ironII polysulphate is added to the arsenic-containing water in an addition amount of 8 g/L or less, then the alkali is added thereto to set a pH to 9 or more, the oxidant is added thereto while keeping the state of pH 9 or more, and a process of the solid-liquid separation is repeated at least twice. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
