The present invention relates to a method capable of efficiently searching for an external device for providing content in an in-vehicle multimedia system and a vehicle capable of performing the same. A method for searching for a content server to share content in a content player according to an embodiment of the present invention may include the following steps: wirelessly connecting to the content server; firstly transmitting a search request message to the content server; secondly transmitting the search request message to the content server when a response message to the firstly transmitted search request message is not received for a first waiting time; and repeating the firstly transmitting step and the secondly transmitting step until the response message is received when a response message to the secondly transmitted search request message is not received for a second waiting time different from the first waiting time. |
