According to an embodiment of the present invention, a pixel of an image sensor comprises: a photo diode configured to accumulate photo charges generated by incident light during a first period; a storage diode configured to receive and store the photo charges accumulated in the photo diode; and a storage gate configured to transfer the photo charges accumulated in the photo diode from the photo diode to the storage diode. The storage gate has a vertical gate structure facing the photo diode. Therefore, the pixel increases sensitivity and reduces noise by improving a structure of a transistor included in the pixel.
