PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive device capable of easily and securely applying a sealing member in an area between a projection and a case even in the case where the projection, extending along an external surface of the case, is provided on a base.SOLUTION: In a lens drive device 1, a base 19 includes a projection 15 projecting further outside than a cylindrical part 186 of a yoke 18 (case) and extending forward in the direction of an optical axis of a lens along an external surface of the cylindrical part 186. A portion of the projection 15, facing the external surface of the cylindrical part 186 has a shape that increases the interval between the external surface of the cylindrical part 186 and the projection 15 on the front side in the direction of the optical axis of the lens rather than on the rear side in the direction of the optical axis of the lens. By inserting a needle 8 between the external surface of the cylindrical part 186 and the projection 15, a sealing member 7 can easily and securely be applied to the area between an edge (an inner edge of a notch 181a) on the rear side of the cylindrical part 186 in the direction of the optical axis of the lens and the projection 15 of the base 19. |
