Provided is a technique for enabling rotor imbalance to be corrected without adding a weight to the surface of the rotor or cutting off part of the rotor. This invention is a balance-correcting method for affixing a predetermined balance weight to a rotating shaft of a rotor, wherein when the balance weight is to be affixed to the rotating shaft, one balance weight suitable for the amount of balance correction needed is selected from a plurality of types of balance weights corresponding to different amounts of balance correction; and the balance weight is securely press-fitted into a groove provided to the rotating shaft of the rotor. The center of gravity of the balance weight is eccentrically press-fitted in a position according to the amount of balance correction needed. |
