A method that a residential gateway (RG) management server communicates with an RG includes the steps of: searching for an RG to be managed within a predetermined IP address range; transferring a searched IP address and RG characteristics to a thread generator; generating, by the thread generator, a corresponding thread based on the searched IP address and the RG characteristics; and communicating with the corresponding RG through the corresponding thread. The method adjusts a thread generation time in consideration of the number of all RGs to be managed, so performance degradation of processors is prevented. Therefore, a plurality of RGs can be controlled and managed efficiently and stably with limited home network resources. |
