The present invention relates to an infrared cooker using infrared radiation to cook an object to be cooked. The infrared cooker comprises: a cooking plate having a plurality of uniformly spaced openings; and an infrared radiation generator which is disposed below the cooking plate and emits infrared radiation in an upwardly inclined direction toward the cooking plate. The infrared radiation generator comprises: an infrared lamp which emits infrared radiation; and a paraboloidal reflector plate which surrounds the sides and back of the infrared lamp and is opened toward the cooking plate such that the infrared radiation emitted from the infrared lamp is reflected towards the object to be cooked. In a cross-section of the reflector plate, a straight line (l) connecting the lowest vertex (s) of a parabola and the center of the infrared lamp extends to the cooking plate. According to this configuration, the infrared cooker may be provided with the minimized height maintained by having the infrared generator which emits infrared radiation from below the cooking plate in an upwardly inclined direction, and the infrared radiation emitted from the infrared lamp using the paraboloidal shape of the reflector plate can reach the object to be cooked without loss, and thus the incident infrared radiation is intense and uniform. |
