The present invention relates to a livestock management system and a method thereof. According to the present invention, the livestock management system comprises: at least one receiver which receives signals including an identification number from transmission modules which are mounted or inserted to each livestock within a surveillance sector having a fixed size; and a controller which computes location coordinates of each livestock using the signals and informs whether the livestock is in heat or has a disease by analyzing collective behavior patterns of each livestock based on the computed location coordinates. According to the present invention, the livestock management system can identify collective behavior status, condition status, etc., of each livestock dispersed within the surveillance sector and can rapidly and accurately inform a manager whether the livestock is in heat or has a disease. In addition, the livestock management system can allow a manger to easily identify abnormal behaviors of livestock by extracting and providing an image of the livestock at the time of such activity. |
