PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for inspecting the difference between the eyesight values of each eye of a subject, that is to be changed between day and night.SOLUTION: This visual target presenting device includes a display having a display panel with multiple pixels and a back light illuminating the display panel from behind. The device changes transmittance of the respective pixels in the display panel and displays a black eyesight value inspection visual target in a white background on the screen of the display. The device includes: a mode switching means for switching a day inspection mode for displaying the eyesight value inspection visual target with first luminance where the white background is bright and a night inspection mode for displaying the eyesight value inspection visual target with second luminance where the white background is darker than that with the first luminance; and a control means for controlling the light amount of the back light and the transmittance of the respective pixels thereby to obtain the first luminance in the day inspection mode and performing control to reduce at least the transmittance of the respective pixels compared with the day inspection mode thereby to obtain the second luminance in the night inspection mode. |
