The present invention relates to a method for driving a display panel, a display panel driving device for performing the method, and a display device having the display panel driving device. The method of driving a display panel comprises the steps of: outputting a data signal of a first frame onto a first display area of a display panel, and driving the first display area by driving gate lines of a first gate line group included in the first display area; and outputting a data signal of a second frame different from the first frame onto a second display area adjacent to the first display area, and driving the second display area by driving gate lines of a second gate line group included in the second display area. Therefore, a boundary between frames in an area adjacent to a boundary between the first display area and the second display area can be prevented from being viewed, thereby improving the display quality of the display device.
