An objective of the present invention is to prevent acquisition of a dark or a light fingerprint and allow an entire image of a fingerprint in a single fingerprint image to have uniform quality. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a fingerprint detecting apparatus comprises: a plurality of sensor pads to output response signals from fingers for a drive signal; a reference voltage providing unit to provide a reference voltage; and an offset adjustment unit to adjust an average voltage level of the response signals from the sensor pads based on the reference voltage.
