The invention relates to a roller (1) with preferably two wheels (2) and a locking device. An acting part (10) acts on the locking device for releasing or locking purposes, and the acting part (10) can be moved by a drive. A transmission part (7) movement that is generated by the drive is transmitted onto the acting part via spring force in order to move the acting part (10), and a spring (8) is mounted on the transmission part. The aim of the invention is to provide a roller that allows a favorable structural design.
