PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter protection device which can prevent a failure of a starter caused by an excess current due to a tire lock state.SOLUTION: A starter protection device 100 includes a starter stop part 103 which stops a starter 102 for activating an engine 101 of an automobile, and a mode switch part 104 which switches between a normal mode which, in the activation of the starter 102, permits the starter stop part 103 to stop the starter 102, and an emergency escape mode which prohibits the starter stop part 103 from stopping the starter 102. The mode switch part 104 switches to the normal mode in a tire lock state. The starter stop part 103 stops the starter 102 when the current mode is not the emergency escape mode, and an integrated value of a cam pulse signal or a crank pulse signal in the engine 101 is equal to or less than a threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
