PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure detection circuit for a switching element, capable of rapidly detecting a failure during operation, while simplifying the circuit configuration.SOLUTION: An embodiment of a failure detection circuit 1 includes a level converting circuit (11) for converting voltage amplitude at an output node, whose voltage fluctuates at switching of a switching element (Q2) to be detected, to a signal whose voltage amplitude is smaller than the voltage amplitude at the node, and a failure determination circuit (12) for determining a failure of the switching element (Q2) on the basis of the signal with small voltage amplitude converted by the level conversion circuit (11). The level conversion circuit (11) is configured with a constant current circuit (10) for supplying a constant current, and a diode (D3) for level conversion, whose cathode side is connected to the output node of the switching element and whose anode side is connected to the constant current circuit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
