PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas circuit breaker which can suppress arrival of charged decomposition products at the vicinity of a contact, even if the charged decomposition products are generated in hot gas that has flown through the inside of an exhaust pipe along with the interrupting operation.SOLUTION: A gas circuit breaker 1 includes a container 3 filled with inert gas and having an arc-extinguishing chamber 5 where the current is interrupted, fixed contacts 10, 15 fixed to the container 3, and movable contacts 20, 25 configured movably to the axial direction open side. Furthermore, a substantially cylindrical exhaust pipe 30 for discharging hot gas, i.e., inert gas, heated by an arc generated between the fixed contact 15 and movable contact 25, from an exhaust port 33 to the axial direction close side is included. A plurality of through holes 35, extending in a direction of an acute angle for the radial direction, and interconnecting the inside space 5i and outside space 5e of the exhaust pipe 30 of the arc-extinguishing chamber 5 are arranged in the exhaust pipe 30 in the circumferential direction thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
