PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively arrange an alkali earth metal, to reduce a use amount of a noble metal catalyst, to raise a particulate combustion speed of a filter as a whole while correcting a disparity of regeneration degrees of the filter which is generated due to a temperature distribution in a radial direction, to shorten a regeneration time, and to improve combustion performance, in the particulate filter with the catalyst carrying the alkali earth metal.SOLUTION: An alkali earth metal which is high in a particulate combustion promotion effect at a higher temperature out of two kinds or more of alkali earth metals 26 is arranged at an inside zone 10a with a larger amount, and an alkali earth metal which is high in the particulate combustion effect at a lower temperature is arranged at an outside zone 10b with a larger amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
