PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled cleaner that controls the rotation of a cleaning brush that rotates around an axis perpendicular to a floor surface, on the basis of a characteristic of a floor.SOLUTION: A self-propelled cleaner comprises: a main brush that rotates around an axis parallel to a floor surface and sweeps the floor surface; a main brush drive part that rotates the main brush; an auxiliary brush that rotates around an axis perpendicular to the floor surface and sweeps the floor surface; an auxiliary brush drive part that rotates the auxiliary brush; a floor characteristic detection part that detects a characteristic of a floor; and a control part that controls the main brush drive part and the auxiliary brush drive part. The control part controls at least either a rotation speed or a stop of the auxiliary brush on the basis of the characteristic of the floor detected by the floor characteristic detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
