PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer, a printing method and a program which can prevent a print data pattern from being overlapped with a pattern recorded in advance on a recording medium.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: print data acquisition means which acquires print data; overlapping prediction means wherein, when a print data pattern corresponding to the print data acquired by the print data acquisition means is printed on a recording medium on which a pattern has been recorded in advance on a printing surface, whether the print data pattern will be overlapped with the pattern is predicted; processing execution means which executes processing so as to prevent the print data pattern from being overlapped with the pattern when the overlapping prediction means predicts that the print data pattern is overlapped with the pattern; and printing execution means which prints the print data pattern on the recording medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
