PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing a polymer of high molecular weight from a ring-opening polymerizable monomer at a high yield, without using a metal catalyst and without requiring a removal process of residual monomers, by one step process with less residual monomers, with excellent color tone, and without racemization.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a polymer, a ring-opening polymerizable monomer is polymerized in compressive fluid, using a catalyst selected from compounds expressed by a formula (1) below and two predetermined different structural formulae.
