PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot rolled steel sheet both ends of which have excellent adhesiveness to scale and which has excellent appearance, and a production method therefor.SOLUTION: There is provided the hot rolled steel sheet which has a predetermined chemical component, and in which scale thickness in each area from both ends in a sheet width direction of the steel sheet to 100 mm is 3% to 40% thicker than that of a central part in the sheet width of the steel sheet and composition of the scale in each area from both ends in a sheet width direction of the steel sheet to 100 mm satisfies Fe:5 vol.% to 25 vol.%, (Fe, Mn)O:0 vol.% to 5.0 vol.%, FeO:0 vol.% to 5 vol.%.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
