PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens for projection having a small size, a small F-number, and high performance, and a projection type display device including the zoom lens for projection.SOLUTION: A zoom lens for projection substantially comprises a plurality of lens groups including at least two lens groups that move when zooming. Distances between all of the adjacent lens groups change during zooming. A reduction side is formed telecentric. A negative first lens group G1 stationary during zooming is arranged closest to an enlargement side. The first lens group G1 includes, in order from the enlargement side, a negative meniscus first lens L11 having a convex surface facing the enlargement side, a biconcave second lens L12, and a positive or negative third lens L13. Fw representing a focal length of an entire system at a wide angle end and f3 representing a focal length of the third lens L13 satisfy a conditional expression (1): -0.070<fw/f3<0.070.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
