PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when using a synchronization circuit that uses both a fixed frequency clock and a variable frequency clock, a synchronization relationship between the clocks cannot be uniquely determined.SOLUTION: A semiconductor integrated circuit includes: means of producing a fixed frequency-divided clock of a fixed frequency from an output clock of a clock source; means of producing a variable frequency-divided clock of a variable frequency; and data path selection means which, while the variable frequency-divided clock is being generated, selects a data path that goes through synchronization means, which converts data into data synchronized with a clock on a data reception side, as a data path for transferring data between a first functional module operable with the fixed frequency-divided clock and a second functional module operable with the variable frequency-divided clock and, while the variable frequency-divided clock is not being generated, selects a data path that does not go through the synchronization means as a data path for transferring data between the first functional module and the second functional module.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
