PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet synchronous motor driving device capable of accurately measuring an inductance value at a heavy load time and/or detecting phase interruption without rotating a rotor and while suppressing DC voltage fluctuation.SOLUTION: Before starting driving a motor, during execution of a first electrification term in which a switching element of a phase of one of upper arms forming a voltage type inverter and an element of a phase at least another of lower arms are brought into an ON state and a third electrification term in which an element of an arm paired with the arm of the element that is brought into the ON state in the first electrification term is brought into an ON state, a second electrification term is executed. In the second electrification period, elements of at least either the upper arms or the lower arms are brought into the ON state in all the phases including the elements which are brought into the ON state during at least the first and third electrification terms. After the execution of the third electrification term, a fourth electrification term is executed in which elements of either the upper or lower arms are brought into the ON state in all the phases including the elements which are brought into the ON state during at least the first and third electrification terms, and the inductance value and/or the phase interruption is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
