PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal mechanism of a vehicle that further simplifies both-pedal operation to shorten reaction time and also prevents erroneous pedaling between an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal of the vehicle by linking the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal and making the pedaling direction of both pedals the same (from a driver's front to back).SOLUTION: In a pedal mechanism 1 operated by one foot for controlling acceleration, deceleration, and stopping of a vehicle, a brake pedal 3b and an accelerator pedal 5a are arranged in a line from a driver's front to back, and the accelerator pedal 5a and the brake pedal 3b of the vehicle are linked so that pushing the brake pedal 3b causes acceleration control by the accelerator pedal 5a to be cancelled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
