PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parameter setting device that reduces the burden on a user who tries to have parameters set, and to provide a parameter setting method.SOLUTION: A display control unit puts a first display area 31 and a second display area 32 within a display area of a display unit in either a first display control mode or a second display control mode. In the first display control mode, setting parameter items including parameter names and values set for the parameters and group parameter items representing parameter groups are hierarchically displayed in the first display area 31, and a result of performing a process with the values set for the parameters is displayed in the second display area 32. In the second display control mode, the group parameter items are hierarchically displayed in the first display area 31, and a list of setting parameter items with expanded parameter groups is displayed per group side-by-side in the second display area 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
