PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method capable of recording images having less image flow or image cracking and good in glossiness even when recording is conducted by an image recording method which combines a two liquid reaction system and a clear ink.SOLUTION: There is provided an image recording method having a process (A) of adding an ink to recording media, a process (B) for adding a liquid composition thickened by mixing with the ink to the recording media and a process (C) for adding a clear ink. The clear ink contains an anionic water soluble resin and at least one kind of surfactant selected from a fluorine-based surfactant and a silicone-based surfactant, the content of the surfactant in the clear ink is 1 mass% to 8 mass% based on the total mass of ink and the content of the water soluble resin in the clear ink is 0.3 times to 10.0 times by mass ratio to the content of the surfactant.SELECTED DRAWING: None
