PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing furfuryl methacrylate safely, inexpensively, and simply.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for simply producing high-purity furfuryl methacrylate, which, in a transesterification reaction using furfuryl alcohol and a methacrylate ester as starting materials, uses a transesterification catalyst and an electron-deficient olefin compound, and which uses a distillation column to enable, at the time of reaction, acceleration of the reaction by efficient removal of an alcohol by-produced and, at the time of distillation, efficient removal of impurities.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
