PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy in a defect inspection for weld-joining in a workpiece having a gap in a weld toe part or the like.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic flaw detection device 10 comprises: a liquid tank 11 which stores liquid into which a differential case welded with a ring gear is immersed; a rotation fixture 14 which holds the differential case to immerse it into the liquid; an ultrasonic probe 12 which irradiates the weld zone of the differential case with an ultrasonic wave and receives the reflection wave to perform ultrasonic flaw detection of the weld zone; an inspection processing unit 20 which generates an ultrasonic image on the basis of the reflection wave received by the ultrasonic probe 12; and a replacement unit which consists of an inspection control section 20b, opening/closing valves 17-19, a vacuum pump 15, a pressure pump 16 and the like. The replacement unit replaces the gas in the gap formed on the weld toe part of the differential case with the liquid stored in the liquid tank 11 before the ultrasonic probe 12 emits the ultrasonic wave.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
