PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the smooth engagement of a synchronizer by avoiding the abutment of tooth tips of internal peripheral spline teeth of a sleeve and tooth tips of dog teeth of a gear.SOLUTION: A sleeve 19 individually comprises internal peripheral spline teeth 19a which can be engaged with dog teeth 24a of a dog-toothed ring 24, and external peripheral spline teeth 19b which can be engaged with guide teeth 32c of a guide ring 32. A distance L1 between the external peripheral face spline teeth 19b and the guide teeth 32c is shorter than a distance L2 between the internal peripheral face spline teeth 19a and the dog teeth 24a of the dog-toothed ring 24, and phases of tooth tips of the guide teeth 32c and phases of tooth tips of the dog teeth 24a of the dog-toothed ring 24 are displaced to a circumferential direction. Since the sleeve 19 comprises the external peripheral face spline teeth 19b which are different from the internal peripheral spline teeth 19a, thrust characteristics of the dog teeth 24a and the guide teeth 32c can be improved by imparting individual tooth tip shapes to the internal peripheral spline teeth 19a and the external peripheral spline teeth 19b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
