PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror of which a translucent layer is constituted of ceramics and in which reflection performance is maintained.SOLUTION: In a mirror 10A, because a second translucent layer 12 made from alumina is provided between a first translucent layer 11 made from ceramics and a reflection layer 13 made from Ag, for example, desired surface strength is obtained in the first translucent layer 11. Especially, by making a thermal expansion coefficient and compression stress of the first translucent layer 11 greater than a thermal expansion coefficient and compression stress of the second translucent layer 12, even when a flaw is generated on a surface 112 of the first translucent layer 11, the flaw itself remains in the surface 112 of the first translucent layer 11. Therefore, the flaw is not enlarged as a depression to the second translucent layer 12 and the reflection layer 13 being lower layers, and when the reflection layer 13 is provided on a surface of a support substrate 14 made of glass, the flaw does not affect the support substrate 14. Accordingly, reflection performance of the mirror 10A can be maintained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
