PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal material for a fuel battery, which is superior in moist heat resistance and adhesiveness.SOLUTION: A seal material is provided, which is used in such a way that it abuts on a polymer electrolyte membrane formed by a polymer having a sulfonic group and a main chain having a polyphenylene structure.
