PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method that repeats forward feeding and backward feeding of a welding wire periodically and performs constriction detection and control, which can improve stability of a welding state.SOLUTION: In an arc-welding control method that repeats periodically a forward feeding period and a backward feeding period at feeding speed Fw for a welding wire so as to generate a short-circuit period and an arc period, and when detecting constriction of molten droplets formed in the welding wire during the short-circuit period, decreases welding currents Iw and transits the period to the arc period, sensitivity of detection of the constriction is varied responding to a feeding direction and the feeding speed during the short-circuit period. This allows the sensitivity of detection of the constriction to be automatically optimized even if the feeding direction and the feeding speed Fw are varied during the short-circuit period so that detection and control of the constriction can be stabilized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
