PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of settlement processing in purchasing a commodity or service.SOLUTION: The settlement management device according to an aspect of an embodiment comprises a purchase request acceptance unit, a payment candidate selection unit, a list information notification unit, a selection information acquisition unit and a settlement unit. The purchase request acceptance unit accepts a purchase request transmitted from a user terminal. The payment candidate selection unit selects a plurality of payment candidates who are candidates paying a counter value of a purchase object corresponding to the purchase request instead of a user of the user terminal. The list information notification unit provides a notification of information on a list of payment candidates to the user terminal. The selection information acquisition unit acquires information on a payment candidate selected from among the list of payment candidates as information on a selection candidate from the user terminal.
