PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of securing high determination accuracy even in a region of a comparatively large opening of a waist gate valve, increasing determination frequency, and improving merchantability, in a case of determining an operation state of the internal combustion engine or its accessory apparatus.SOLUTION: A control device 1 of an internal combustion engine 3 including a turbo charger 10 and a waist gate valve 11a, includes an ECU 2. The ECU 2 executes an air-fuel ratio fluctuation control for controlling an air-fuel ratio of the internal combustion engine 3 to be fluctuated under a prescribed condition (steps 51-53), determines whether the internal combustion engine 3 is in an imbalance state or not by using a detection equivalent ratio KACT when an in-cylinder gas quantity GCYL is a gas quantity determination value Gjud or more in executing the air-fuel ratio fluctuation control (steps 60-71, 80-91), and determines the gas quantity determination value Gjud so that the larger the opening WG of the waist gate valve 11a is, the higher the value is (step 4).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
