PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method hardly generating variation of dot diameter and image transition and capable of recording high picture quality images even when using a two liquid reaction system and discharging an ink at high speed and high ejection quantity.SOLUTION: There is provided an image recording method having a process (A) for adding an ink containing a coloring material to recording media, a process (B) for adding a liquid composition thickened by mixing with the ink to the recording media so as to overlap with a region where ink is added at least partially, where the ink contains a resin particle, an anionic water-soluble resin and an anionic surfactant having a carboxyl group, the content of the surfactant in the ink is 1 mass% to 8 mass% in terms of total mass of the ink and the content of the water-soluble resin in the ink is 0.3 times to 5.0 times by mass ratio to the content of the surfactant.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
