PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breaker which secures excellent current cutoff operation by guaranteeing smooth operation of a movable piece, and is excellent in case size accuracy.SOLUTION: A breaker 1 includes: a fixed piece 2 having a fixed contact point 21; a movable piece 4 having a movable contact point 41; a thermally-actuated element 5 which actuates the movable piece 4 so that the movable contact point 41 is separated from the fixed contact point 21 by thermal deformation; a case body 71 having a housing recess 73 in which the movable piece 4 and the thermally-actuated element 5 are housed; and a lid member 81 which closes the housing recess 73. The lid member 81 is made of a light transmissive resin through which light transmits. The case body 71 absorbs light which transmits through the light transmissive resin and is made of a light-absorbing resin which is fused.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
