PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantum dot solar cell which allows for enhancement of photoelectric conversion efficiency, by improving conductivity up to the junction layer of carriers.SOLUTION: A quantum dot solar cell includes a p-type semiconductor layer 1, an n-type semiconductor layer 5, and a quantum dot layer 3 having a plurality of quantum dot 3a, arranged in contact with at least one of the p-type semiconductor layer 1 and n-type semiconductor layer 5, and sandwiched by the p-type semiconductor layer 1 and n-type semiconductor layer 5. At least one of the p-type semiconductor layer 1 and n-type semiconductor layer 5, in contact with the quantum dot layer 3, has a planar base 1B and a plurality of convex parts 1b provided thereon, and the quantum dot layer 3 is arranged so that the quantum dot 3a fills between the convex parts 1b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
