PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated white paperboard achieving various quality of printability and post processing suitability during carton processing needed for the coated white paperboard, especially less in missing dot of a gravure printing and suppressing stickiness as printability, and excellent in varnish glossiness development as post processing suitability.SOLUTION: There is provided a coated white paperboard having a coated layer containing a pigment and an adhesive on a surface of a base paper. The coated layer has at least two layers multilayer structure having an undercoat layer at a near side to the base paper and an overcoat layer at a far side from the base paper, a styrene-butadiene-based copolymer latex is used in the undercoat layer as an additive, the content of the styrene-butadiene-based copolymer latex is 9 to 25 pts.mass as a solid content based on 100 pts.mass of the pigment contained in the undercoat layer, average particle diameter of the styrene-butadiene-based copolymer latex is 97 to 300 nm and glass transition temperature is -40 to 5°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
