PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, a gas supply system, and an image forming method which are capable of stably discharging liquid from a liquid discharge head even if gas supply state fluctuates, and which can be made smaller as a result of simplification of the structure.SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 10, a gas compressor 100 is provided facing a circumferential surface 52S of an image forming drum 52 in a non-conveyance area, which is shifted in the circumferential direction from a conveyance area for conveying a print medium P. The gas compressor 100 blows a low temperature secondary compressed gas 108C1, which is generated by a primary compressed gas supplied from outside the apparatus, onto the circumferential surface 52S. The supply state of the primary compressed gas is detected by a supply unit 192. When the supply state is within a predetermined range, the primary compressed gas is supplied to gas compressors 100X, 100Y. When the supply state is out of the predetermined range, the primary compressed gas is supplied to the gas compressor 100Y, and supply of the primary compressed gas to the remaining gas compressor 100X is stopped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
