PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video compression device capable of efficiently coding a high-definition video signal, a video compression method and a video compression program.SOLUTION: A video recording and reproducing device 1 includes: a pixel dividing unit 122 for dividing a pixel for each component regarding a single frame image of a dual green system having a sampling structure of Bayer array; a pixel interpolation unit 123 for interpolating an image of a divided first color component by combining it with an image that is obtained by converting pixels of the image in accordance with geometrical rules; and a coding unit 13 which performs coding in accordance with a predetermined compression system for each processing unit that is obtained by packaging the interpolated first color component and divided second and third color components.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
