PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery separator which is obtained by manufacturing a porous ceramic layer including a microfibrillated cellulose with stability.SOLUTION: A battery separator comprises: a support body including polyester fiber; and a porous ceramic layer including microfibrillated cellulose.
