PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground structure and a construction method for the same capable of preventing a continuous underground wall from water leakage when utilizing the same as a main structure.SOLUTION: An underground structure 1 comprises: a continuous underground wall 2 constructed by juxtaposing a plurality of elements 21; a box culvert 10 integrally constructed with the continuous underground wall 2; and water shutoff members 3 which cover joints 22 between the elements 21 at a boundary section between the continuous underground wall 2 and the box culvert 10. The water shutoff members 3 have hardening bodies made of a cement-based material placed along the joints.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
