摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lithium ion secondary battery superior in cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: (1) A method for manufacturing a lithium ion secondary battery including a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material layer pre-doped with lithium, a positive electrode and an electrolyte comprises the steps of: disposing the electrolyte between the negative and positive electrodes to assemble them so that electrical continuity to an external circuit can be established; and performing a discharge process before an initial charge. (2) In the manufacturing method, the negative electrode active material layer includes: a metal oxide capable of occluding lithium ions; a binder; and a conductive assistant. (3) The manufacturing method further comprises the steps of: connecting the negative and the positive electrodes to the external circuit; and performing discharge until an electrochemical reaction in the negative electrode is substantially stopped. (4) The manufacturing method further comprises the steps of: connecting the negative and positive electrodes to the external circuit; and performing discharge until a cell voltage falls to a range of 0-3.0 V.SELECTED DRAWING: None
