摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately arrange an intervening layer between an outer peripheral surface of a fuel cell body and a case inner peripheral surface.SOLUTION: A fuel cell stack A includes: a fuel cell body 1 which includes a stack 11 formed by stacking a plurality of fuel battery unit cells along a stacking direction S; a case 2 housing the fuel cell body; and an intervening layer 3 which is arranged between the fuel cell body and the case and has a restoring force for restoring the layer to an original dimension when deformed. A manufacturing method thereof is provided with: a process to prepare the intervening layer having thickness d1 larger than a distance D between an outer peripheral surface 1a of the fuel cell body along the stacking direction when the fuel cell body is housed in the case and an inner peripheral surface 2a of the case facing the outer peripheral surface; a process to compress the intervening layer in a place different from the fuel cell body, by which the thickness of the intervening layer becomes smaller than the distance; a process to arrange the compressed intervening layer on the outer peripheral surface; and a process to house the fuel cell body in the case before the thickness of the intervening layer swells up to the distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
