PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear grinder capable of simplifying a structure for moving a phase sensor extremely, and achieving simplification of the apparatus.SOLUTION: A gear grinder 1 is provided with a coolant piping part 35 and a phase sensor 37. The phase sensor 37 is provided at the tip part of the coolant piping part 35 and configured to detect a phase of a tooth crest part of a tooth surface 81 of a workpiece 8 supported by a workpiece support part 2. The gear grinder 1 matches the phase of the tooth crest part of the tooth surface 81 of the workpiece 8 detected by the phase sensor 37 with a phase of a grinding blade 321 of a rotary grindstone 32 supported by a grindstone support header 3, and grinds the tooth surface 81 of the workpiece 8 with the grinding blade 321 of the rotary grindstone 32 in a state of discharging a coolant to the tooth surface 81 of the workpiece 8 from a coolant nozzle 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
