PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater that has suppressed uneven heating in the longitudinal direction, and a fixing device including the same.SOLUTION: A heater (600) used in a fixing device 40 includes: a heating part (620) that is provided along the longitudinal direction and generates heat by energization; a plurality of branch paths (642, 652, 662, and 672) that are provided side by side in the longitudinal direction at predetermined intervals to feed power to a heating layer; an electrical contact (645) that is in contact with one end of a power source; a conductor path (640) that extends from the electrical contact; a branch path (642a) that branches from the conductor path; and a branch line (642g) that branches from the conductor path at a position farther from the electrical contact (645) than the branch path (642a).
