PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a mechanical processing process of a VTC cover 1 after forging, and to reduce the number of part items.SOLUTION: A cover of a valve timing control device which makes the valve timing of an internal combustion engine advance or retard by feeding and discharging working fluids to/from a pair of fluid pressure chambers which are formed in the device. The cover comprises a shaft-shaped body which is protruded from a rear surface of the cover, a pair of internal passages which are formed in the shaft-shaped body, and whose one-side ends communicate with a pair of the fluid pressure chambers, respectively, and a pair of passage grooves which are formed at a front surface of the cover, and in which other ends of a pair of the internal passages are opened. There are formed a pair of passages which feed and discharge the working fluids to/from a pair of the fluid pressure chambers via a pair of the internal passages by covering a pair of the passage grooves with a resin-made lid body 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
