PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle detection system, an adjustment support device, a vehicle detection method and an adjustment method capable of precisely detecting vehicles from images.SOLUTION: The vehicle detection system includes: an imaging unit; a geometrical conversion part; and a vehicle detection part. The imaging unit acquires images of a road by taking images of the road. The geometrical conversion part performs a geometry conversion based on the installation position and the direction of the imaging unit with respect to plural focusing areas in the images in which images of vehicles travelling on the road are taken. The vehicle detection part detects the vehicles from the images in the focusing areas after the geometry conversion by the geometrical conversion part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
