PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a quantity of an impurity in a sealing region in a simple and convenient manner.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion device comprises: an element substrate having a first electrode, a photoelectric conversion layer provided on the first electrode, and performing charge separation by energy of light applied to the device, and a second electrode provided on the photoelectric conversion layer; a counter substrate opposed to the element substrate; and a sealing layer provided so that a sealing region for sealing at least the photoelectric conversion layer is formed between the element substrate and the counter substrate. The element substrate further includes: an impurity-sensing layer provided in the sealing region so as to be in contact with at least the second electrode, and causing a chemical reaction with an impurity including at least one of oxygen and water; and a third electrode in contact with the impurity sensing layer, which extends to outside the sealing region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
