PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt conveyor abnormality detection method which can be easily and inexpensively introduced to an existing belt conveyor, especially a large sized belt conveyor.SOLUTION: An abnormality of a belt conveyor 1 is detected, by measuring acceleration of a conveyor belt for at least one cycle, by an acceleration sensor 4 attached to at least one side surface of a conveyor belt 2, and determining an abnormality of a support roller and a position where the abnormality occurs, based on the measured acceleration data, when detecting abnormality of the belt conveyor in which the conveyor belt is supported by plural support rollers 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
